Fluorosilicone rubber has excellent oil and solvent resistance, for aliphatic, aromatic and chlorinated hydrocarbon solvents; All kinds of petroleum-based fuel oil, lubricating oil, hydraulic oil and some synthetic oil (such as diester lubricating oil, silicone hydraulic oil, etc.) are very stable at room temperature and high temperature, and can maintain elasticity.


                                     Characteristics of fluorosilicone rubber 

Oil, solvent and chemical resistance

Compared with methyl vinyl silicone rubber, fluorine silicone rubber has excellent oil resistance, solvent resistance and chemical resistance. Even compared with fluorine rubber, oil resistance, solvent resistance is good. After dipping in the same medium, temperature and time, it shows excellent durability. It can be said that fluorine silicone rubber is the only elastomer resistant to non-polar media at -60℃ ~ 260℃. Fluorine silicone rubber also has good resistance to methanol containing gasoline. Even in gasoline/methanol mixed system, the hardness, tensile strength and volume of vulcanized rubber changes very little. After 500h long impregnation test, the physical properties are almost unchanged.


Heat resistance


The high temperature resistance of fluorosilicone rubber is the same as that of silicone rubber. It can be significantly improved by adding a small amount of heat stabilizer such as iron, titanium and rare earth oxides, and it has enough heat resistance even at 250℃. The influence of temperature on fluorine silicone rubber is greater than that of silicone rubber.


Cold tolerance


Fluorine silicone rubber and ordinary silicone rubber, low temperature performance is good. Because fluorine silicone rubber is a linear polymer with soft Si-O as the main chain, the low temperature characteristic is better than fluorine rubber with C-C as the main chain. Among them, the low temperature characteristic of fluorine silicone rubber is better, the brittle temperature can reach -59℃, and the general fluorine rubber is about -30℃.


Physical and mechanical properties


Fluoro-silicone rubber is the same as ordinary silicone rubber. It can be made of conductive, antibacterial, flame-retardant and foaming fluoro-silicone rubber by optimizing the material formula design. On the basis of the original oil and solvent resistance, conductive, antibacterial, flame-retardant and foaming properties can be increased.


Other characteristics


Fluorine silicone rubber has excellent weathering resistance, and even after 5 years of exposure, it still has good performance. Ozone is one of the gases produced most during the aging of elastomers, but no cracking or cracking phenomenon was found in fluoro-silicone rubber after dynamic or static tests, and it has good ozone resistance. In addition, fluorine silicone rubber mildew resistance, physiological inertia, anticoagulation is also very good, fluorine silicone rubber in high temperature, low temperature, humidity, oil, solvents, chemicals, ozone and other harsh conditions change very little. The radiation resistance of fluorosilicone rubber is not outstanding, but the radiation aging resistance of fluorosilicone rubber is better than that of methyl vinyl silicone rubber.
